Maltipoo is a designer dog breed. It is a hybrid of the Maltese and Toy Poodle breeds, known for their cheerful and gentle nature. Active and charming, they are a perfect fit for you and your family.
Although Maltipoos enjoy company and are attached to their owners, they can also be quite independent. With proper early training, you will have a dog that can easily be left alone at home or taken anywhere without discomfort.
There are several categories of Maltipoo genetic crossings. The most common ones are Maltipoo F1 and MaltiPoo F2. These are types of crossings, not the size of the dog, as most people mistakenly believe.
Maltipoo F1
The first generation of the breed, created by crossing Maltese and Toy Poodle.
Maltipoo F1 is 50% genetically composed of Maltese and 50% of Toy Poodle.
They have a gentle, silky, slightly wavy coat.
Maltipoo F2
This is the second generation of the breed, obtained by crossing Maltipoo F1 with a Toy Poodle or another Maltipoo F2.
They genetically contain 30% Maltese and 70% Toy Poodle and have soft, silky, and more curly coat compared to F1.
